Cost: GPs $600 + GST, Doctors in training $500 + GST.
This course is accredited with the RACGP and will cover all GP registrar Advanced Life Support (ALS) training requirements. It also complies with ACRRM PDP requirements. The day will include hands-on skills stations, followed by manikin-based scenarios across a broad range of emergencies relevant to General Practice. Multiple stations will provide opportunities to develop team leadership skills and refine clinical management skills using the specific equipment and medications available to GPs.
This course will be conducted by practicing doctors (Anaesthetics and General Practice) with extensive simulation education experience. There will be a maximum of 18 participants (minimum 8 for the course to run).
This course aims to provide high a quality educational experience that is readily accessible to rural South Coast GP trainees.
